Is big back?  I cast my vote as “yes.”  In a world where we are subjected to so much information in short articles and even blurbs, reading a novel is already an investment, and to really feel that we’ve accomplished something in reading it, I think today’s memorable novel must truly be a journey rather than a ‘nice, pleasant, read.’  We have no time for the book that is not eye opening, no time for the simple and direct.  We are in a time of heavy demands from the novel, the questions we bring to physical editions are too involved for a novella to satisfy.
