i12bent:Nov. 13 is the birthday of always entertaining Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894).
Stevenson always looks great-eyed and hollow-cheeked in pictures, and indeed was a lifelong sufferer of some chest-ailment - whether tuberculosis or bronchitis or another disease is unknown…
Stevenson travelled extensively - often for health reasons. Despite all this he wrote 12 novels and enough short stories to fill several volumes, quite a feat for a man with such a short life-span.
